WHW and Canford Renewable Energy (CRE) are collaborating via a joint venture and have successfully been awarded planning for their own 25 MW battery storage facility nr. Belben Road, Poole, Dorset.
This site will use large batteries built into containers to offer grid balancing support by importing power when the grid has excess capacity, and then exporting this back to the grid at times of peak demand.
